In fairness you may only need to jiggle out part 61-896
http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... mgno=.html
The fan housing (far right under your hanging controller.) from memory is the two screws on the top (you can see em on that tab bit.) & a bolt to the side of the floor

to remove separately by kind of wiggling it from the side duct to the evaporator & heater housing?? That will just leave the main air con & heater unit with the flaps in to remove.... Bracket from fan unit to the floor pictured here..!

I don't envy you....

Hi Simon Jay, cheers guys Jay the upright section should be easy there is a lot of play in it and it actually lifts up and clears the housing, so Simon I don't think I will have to take any more trim off,

I think there is a third floor bracket you have not exposed under the after-market flooring far right..?

You'll probably be ok. I didn't have the luxury of a sodding great hole cut out of my panel through which to remove it

. Watch out for coolant and A/C oil when you lift it up as it will dribble out the holes below.

I'm going to be a bit cocky here,

& air on just removing the top part of the heater housing by removing the multiple fiddly clips then replacing the evaporator in situ....? That way you still have a drivable vehicle without the arse end of the coolant system removed too...!??

Yep these 61-A09's are a pain especially on the outer skin side....

Take it slow & steady either way, the heater housing isn't that "robust".....

METAL... It maybe a little easier to retrieve them if they do drop when the top half of the heater housing is removed..?? I don't know.. A magnet ended rod will pull to anything down there...!

I think from memory.... I kind of scooted anything i dropped down there to the right hand side with a stick & because the fan housing alone was removed, i could get my hand in the sill cavity space & retrieve....?
