Leisure battery earth

Post by eoptio » Sat Nov 06, 2010 6:06 pm

Hi all

just putting in a secondary battery. What is the best place to earth it, anywhere on the chassis ok? Battery is placed in usual location in front of the coolant tank, there is a threaded hole right next to it in the wing, just connect the earth lead to that?

Thanks

Wing will be fine - just make sure that there is a good, clean connection 8)

ok thanks. To wire up the internal lights etc, just run a fused cable from the additional battery postive to the fusebox and patch in there? Am asking as there is 'permanant 12v live output' on the split charge relay I got, what should that be used for?

1) Yes
2) Not sure without knowing with out knowing what split charge relay set up you have but connecting from +ve on leisure battery should see you straight.

There are some fact sheets in the members area to help with how to patch the fuse box.
