I've got 2 very corroded rear wheel arches...can you buy and fit any suitable replacements ?
Or just patch up? Any tips / advice very gratefully received

Depends what sort of repair you want. Obviously you can patch up and see how you go, or you can get a professional repair, Ian Taylor, Stoke on Trent, Wheelquick, Wigan and ADS, Bristol, can all do the job, and I'm sure others can too.

For something closer to home try George junior at GBL Motors, Duff Street Edinburgh. If you want a realy good job it is possible to obtain replacement arches from a Ford I think and cut out the rotten arches on your Bongo. Welding and respaying job.
