Not really but not ideal.
It should be 5W-30 or 10W-40 at a pinch.
For a top up if you are going to be changing anytime soon just use mineral, no need for Synth or Semi-synth.

make sure its for turbo diesels, 5w 30.

Hi flipflop,
If the vehicle is using oil you would be better using 10w/40 oil.
Always remember any oil is better than none.

I always use 5-30 synth why do you say just use mineral scanner i thought that was for old vehicles

I said "IF" only topping up and "IF" intending to do a full change soon only use mineral to top up for now - save the good oil for the full change. Certainly use semi-synthetic or synthetic for a full change OR stick with mineral if you change it every 3000m.
