As above. The NALDEC unit is location underneath the drivers window switches and has a wire aerial taped along the inside of the door card too. You will need to take the door card off to find it but that is easy.
Rather than getting the very cheap kit, I got an alarm instead this gives the added benefit of the alarm itself but also the remotes featured rolling codes and appeared to be more secure than the basic ones.
I found the remote to be very useful. When we use the Bongo for work (it is a commuter as well - normally for my wife) we both have things to put in the back. The door to get to the kids or the area we put our bags is on the passenger side so normally we would have to get out the drivers door, go round to the passenger side, unload, go back to the drivers side, lock the door then set off. For me I'd normally have arm fulls of paperwork before going back to the drivers side. It was a pain!
So much easier with the remote.
