Had a check of the connectors, wow aren’t they a pain to access, no joy there so took the wheels off to check and clean everything. All looked good but no joy, light still on.
Plugged in a loop in the diagnostic port and identified a fault with both front ABS sensors, 11 & 12, so set about to remove them and source replacements.
Obviously, the bolt holding the sensor sheared off, so drilled, drilled some more and managed to extract the sheared bolt, and then the sensor, then re-tapped the thread and removed the sensor itself (which after a liberal application of freeing oil, was surprisingly easy).
Now busy prepping the removal by ensuring the remaining bolts are not such a pain.
Found a couple of potential replacements, may go with the ‘expensive’ option of those with brackets attached, but at £120 for a pair, that’s still a damn sight cheaper than the originals and they’ll hopefully be a straight swap.we’ll see, will update with progress and review of parts
