Don't know how the damage was caused, but it looked quite bad, both ends of the AFT had four inch holes in where the rack was fixed. I wouldn't want to have to pay for the repair!

However you do it(rack) be careful, i saw a bongo with kayak carrier on at the beach not long ago, and the rack had ripped his roof open. looked like an expensive repair job needed, or a big bucket to catch the water inside when it rained.

Right, iv'e had a problem with what i thought was damp starting and after spraying all leads, dizzy etc and leaving for 20-30 min starts up. this morning, no start, tested all the plugs and all sparking, each one was wet with petrol when i removed them. wire brushed the plugs and the contact points ...

Thanks Simon, i will take a better look at that tomorrow and see if that is the problem, it's just having some dry weather to be able to get out there would be nice, i can't get the bongo in my garage where its dry to work on anything. If this weather keeps up i'll be fitting floats and a sail! all ...

2ltr petrol damp start problem

my van runs great when its dry but it doesn't like the wet weather, i have dried all the electrics and sprayed with "WURTH ultra 2040" and it will be ok for a while, then just when you could least do without it, it refuses to start again until everything is dried out and sprayed again! any advice ...

I get a problem with damp now and then, so just clean all leads and spray with wd 40,( it also helps the arthritis :lol: )

I made a diy awning using figure of eight, don't have any probs putting it on, nor any with awning coming free in the wind, but it can be a" beggar" getting it off sometimes.

bought a manual when we got the bongo, but its just the owners manual, nothing in it about changing coolant. i'll have a look in bongo shop. thanks folks, I love this forum, you can allway's guarantee you'll get help from someone.
