Manual Gear Change difficult
Afternoon all,
I have been enjoyed bombing around in my manual 4x4 bongo since the txfer and gearbox replacement back in May with new clutch and gear oil. I have had approximately 700 miles of problem free driving
But after a warm day of driving around Cornwall the bongo gearchange was notchy then ...

Re: Clutch Replacement on Manual 4WD Bongo
Thanks Doone.
After some more diagnosis over a garage pit. There is a knock/noise every 5 or so seconds from the rear of the gearbox / transfer case when idling in neutral with clutch not pressed. Placing hand on both gearbox and transfer case, it's possible to feel the vibration of the knock. And ...

Re: Clutch Replacement on Manual 4WD Bongo
Thanks for your reply,
Can you remember what borg and Beck part number you used? My garage seems to think it is a HK2545 ; but that states for use with dual mass engines.
I thought it should be a HK2094
The conflicting information makes me unsure :-/

Re: Clutch Replacement on Manual 4WD Bongo
Thanks Doone,
Much appreciated, especially that post re vibration.
The first comment on that post about larger clutch plates is apparent when you search for clutch replacements for bongo. seems to vary with stated size
I am going for a Borg & Beck replacement so will keep fingers crossed and ...

Clutch Replacement on Manual 4WD Bongo
Hi all..
I am in the process of looking to change the clutch in my manual 4wd bongo after hearing so unnerving rattling sounds when the bongo is in neutral idling. It is sounding very much like clutch release bearing rattle/ failure. The car still engages in gear and can drive. And the noise ...

Re: Window Blinds Wiring Loom
Many thanks for this Geoff I will take a look at that wiring.
The individual switches do work if the circuit is powered from an independent / isolated supply, the voltages are reversed correctly and the blinds operate in both directions from the OEM switches.
I can see from the circuit diagram ...

Re: Window Blinds Wiring Loom
The plug for drivers side, control wires are yellow with blue stripe and yellow with red. The green in that same block is +12v but appears to be wired to something already.. but tapping into that works for front dash switch, but not the indiviudal switches.

Window Blinds Wiring Loom
Hi All,
I decided to take on installing some electric blinds in my bongo over the weekend.
Armed with the passenger side wiring loom, the individual switches and the 2 dash switches, I was able to wire in the passenger side adding the +12v Yellow , then the two control wires white with green ...

Re: Rear Demister Fuse continually blows (again)
OK I edited my previous post to add more detail but it looks like the 1995 manual are for cars between may 1995 and october 1997, the circuits are different. But yes the symbols are

Re: Rear Demister Fuse continually blows (again)
Hmm yes it should do. To clarify, that page for 1995 models; is this showing circuits for models with both digital climate (which uses relay/switch I1-01) and manual where there is just the dashboard 4 pin switch I1-02 on the right side?
Looking at the colour cables into that 4 pin plug under the ...
