Re: Green fluid in the road......
Called a garage this morning - They said that the V6 was far less prone to head issues than the diesel.
Their advice was to replace the thermostat and then go from there. The other test they recommended was for exhaust gases in the expansion vessel - Although they said that this was an expensive ...

Re: Green fluid in the road......
I've been on google researching since I got back. Think it could be a dodgy thermostat not letting the water get though the radiator properly? Or ECT Sensor?
Bottom line I think I'll have to get her to the garage.....
Not a good time of year for the old girl to go on the blink - with the holidays ...

Hi Bongo techies - Any ideas on this:
I took the family out in the Bongo this evening - After about 9 miles of driving (up some fairly steep hills) - we reached our destination. About 5 minutes after I parked up the expansion tank dumped about 1 litre of coolant - I think out of the overflow tube ...

Re: Leak from Oil Cooler Feed (V6) - I'm guessing....
When you say simple fix - Is it just reseat the pipe or is it a replace the pipe job?
I don't think that the pipe has a split but I'm slightly concerned that the pipe might just have lost some flex...

Leak from Oil Cooler Feed (V6) - I'm guessing....
Short tale of woe... :-({|=
Went to de-ice the van this morning, there was a fair build up on the inside of the screen so I started the van and left it to idle with the screen blower on.
When I returned to the van there was a small pool of warm engine oil at the rear of the engine.

Re: Radio Bongo...
Found the fault, the aerial lead was disconnected at the joint shown on the wiring diagram. I'd not traced the lead far enough along before. Thanks for the info.

Re: Radio Bongo...
Hi Geoff,
Checked this back - seems to be joined - The cable itself is covered in foam so it's quite hard to see, feels well joined when I push the ends together.
Is there a way to test that there is a join through to the aerial?

Radio Bongo...
I've just replaced the strange array of electronic equiptment and Japanese audio bits that frequented my dash.
The new stereo works well with the exception of a radio signal.
The aerial antennae is plugged in but does not seem to be giving any kind of signal...
Does anyone have experience to ...

Auto changing in the dark....
First time night driving in the Bongo tonight.
There was no illumination around the auto shifter, so I had to guess my way though the changes.
Is there normally any illumination?
If yes how do I reach the bulb and what type is it please?

Re: Dash 12v supply (cigar lighter) not working
Thanks guys.
Judging by your feedback I think that it must be the fuse on the back of the cigar lighter itself (the tyre inflator that would not run from this supply works, as do the mirrors etc).
Looks like some fettling needs to be done.

Dash 12v supply (cigar lighter) not working
Does anyone know where the fuse for the dash 12v supply is located?
